Local Attractions

Mount Pleasant is situated on the outskirts of Boyton village with byways and bridleways passing close to the cottage and riding stables at nearby North Beer.

The north coast of Cornwall is only a short drive away, where you will find sandy beaches, coves and rock pools. For the more energetic and enthusiastic there is surfing, body-boarding, canoeing, kite surfing and swimming at Widmouth and Bude, which has a sea-fed swimmimg pool.

Take a stroll around the picturesque harbour at Boscastle, or visit the legendary King Arthur's Castle and Merlin's Cave at Tintagel - both locations are connected by the South West Coast Path.

To the south east and south west lie Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor where you will find granite tors, river valleys and moorland. Nestling on the edge of Dartmoor is the stunning Lydford Gorge and the Devil's Cauldron.

Enjoy the bustling ancient Stannary town of Tavistock on the river Tavy or get pleasure from a family day out at the magnificent Eden Project or the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
